Subscriber Tip
Terry,
The comment your reader had about her husband not being willing
to give her any of the information, and how it took her son
months to figure things out after he died, just shows how
important it is to have something like All They'll Need to Know
completed. Even if you have the best intentions for sharing the
information with someone, you won't think of everything. All
They'll Need to Know leads you through the necessary steps. No
one would be able to just walk into my office and figure out
what I've done, but because I have that book filled out, it will
be easy for them when the time comes.
If you want to include the above paragraph as a comment next
week, I'll leave that page open for awhile longer...
All you have to do is submit a "Subscriber Tip" and if it
appears in The Budget Stretcher you will get your choice of
either The Complete Budget and Bill Organizer Download or 10 of
my Budget and Credit Card Calculating Forms.

Grandpa Terry's Update
(Quote - "Do It Now Before Your Future Becomes Your Past")
I want to personally welcome you to this week's newsletter. If
you are a new subscriber all you have to do is just sit back,
read and enjoy.
Vote For Budget Stretcher's Slogan
I knew when I started this contest that I was going to get some
great entries and it would be hard to narrow it down to only 10
for subscribers to vote on. I received about 150 entries and
yes, they were great. A special thank you to all of you that
took the time to send me your ideas.
I enlisted the help of everybody I could think of to come up
with the top 10 entries. I now have the results and you can
cast your vote by visiting the below page:
I've made it as simple as possible to cast your vote so I'm
going to have a little fun. The voting will close on March 20,
2007, but if I don't have at least 1000 votes it will keep
running until I do. I think this is the minimum number I need
to get a good consensus.
The above voting form is set up so that you can only vote once.
You will also be able to watch the progress of the poll by
clicking on "Results" at the above page. One more thing! With
this form I can't cheat. You will know which entry won because
I can't reset the form without deleting it.
Somebody is going to win the $50 prize. You can help them get
their money faster by casting your vote today.
Have you seen your new Subscriber Benefits Page? I think you
are going to like it. I have rearranged everything to make it

The Budget Ledger
I'm not really sure if anyone else offers a form similar to the
Budget Ledger offered by Budget Stretcher. If they don't, they
should.
There is nothing more confusing about managing your money than
to set up your finances so that you know when everything is due
and what has been paid and what hasn't each month. This is what
the Budget Ledger is designed to do.
You simply enter your debts in the order they are due. When you
pay the bill you just enter the date and amount. This will help
you eliminate the problem of missing a bill or paying it late.
I strongly recommend that you set up your Budget Ledger and use
it. It could save you a lot of headaches and maybe some late
fees.
You can get your free copy of the printed for at the below page:
If you would rather order the calculating Budget Ledger and
receive all of the other forms just visit the your subscriber
benefits page, click on the link in the right column to set
your discount code and click on "Budget & Credit Card Calculating
Forms"
All 10 calculating forms are $14.95 but with your 30% discount
you can get them all for $10.46.

Grandpa Terry's Email
Hey Terry...Hope all is well with you, and THANK YOU for the
tip about the guy that called your daughter about her mortgage
payment. That's pretty scary. I have a comment on the letter
following...
When my mother died, even though I was the executor of the
will, well past legal age, a co-signer on the bank papers, and
carried a key, they (whoever "they" are) sealed her safe deposit
box for several days. Of course, the box contained her will, and
everything I needed right then. A person who is already suddenly
bewildered and grieving, should not have to go through that.
Apparently, it was due to some kind of law, so, having a second
copy somewhere safe, but accessible, I think, is a good idea. I
mean, you don't want your personal business all out where
anybody can see it, but...maybe a sealed copy for the executor,
or a lawyer.

Hi Terry,
When I read about the scam that almost cost your daughter her
mortgage pmt, I had to let you know how I protect myself from
that. I have my mortgage set as an automatic draft from a
savings acct at the credit union. I keep just enough money
filtered into that acct for the mortgage and car pmt that are
both done this way. The money is set on automatic transfer from
another savings acct that I get retirement funds direct
deposited to so that the money needed is always there when it is
needed for these bills. My mortgage is at this credit union so
that makes it less complicated. My utility bill is on auto pay
from my checking acct too, so that it is never late. If the
bills are not at the bank that they wish to pay this way, it
will have to come out of a checking acct instead so just have
the money auto transferred from the savings to the checking a day
or more before it is due to be paid. They also will try more
than once to get the money if it is not there with no late
fees(at the Credit union that I use)
I read both the BSP and the BS newsletters when the arrive so
that I don't miss anything! Love them, keep the great info
coming!

I read your article every time it hits my computer. Thanks so
much for your information and great sites to visit. I learn
something each time I read your column.
My question is: Do you know of a good "work at home" business
that includes typing at home? This is something I love to do and
I feel I would be good at this. I've tried a few sites, but all
I get is, they take my money and I don't know what "my job" is.
Make sense? I knew if anyone would know of such good businesses
you would.
Thank you very very much.
Peggy
My Response:
Hi Peggy,
I know a lot about work at home jobs. I've spent hundreds of
dollars on the same sites you did and didn't earn a penny or
even get a job. This has been a few years ago so I decided to
use your email as an excuse to try finding a site that is legit
now.
to charge for membership but they don't now. I looked at some of
the 2000 jobs and it seems like many of them are actual
companies looking for help. They also have a link on each page
that if you are ever asked to pay a fee they want to know about
it as they don't want to list those.
You may want to try them. They have all kinds of jobs from
entry level to professional. If you do I would appreciate you
letting me know if you actually get a job so that I can pass it
along to the other subscribers.
Good luck, Terry

Hi Terry,
What do you all know about debtshield.com???
Thanks
Bill
My Response:
Hi Bill,
I guess the one thing you can say about Debt Shield is that
they make all of the info available up front. They do have
certain requirements that must be met but you can get a free
consultation long before you decide on their program. One of the
requirements is that you need to have at least $8500 in debt.
Most of these type of programs I've dealt with have surprises
after you sign up. Not theirs.
I promote their program (which means I'm satisfied that they
can help) so you can use the below link to go directly to the
free consultation request form at the below link:
Please remember, if you don't like any aspect of their program
after discussing it with them don't sign up.
I hope this helps,
Terry

Hi Grandpa Terry:
Thanks for telling us the story of your daughter and the man
who requested her house payment be sent to him Western Union.
I had a phone call recently. Right off the man asked for my
social security number. Although I heard him correctly, I asked,
"Did you say you wanted MY Social Security Number?" He said,
"Yes, that is right. We will make that your account number." I
replied, "Listen very carefully, Do not call this phone number
again. Goodbye." I then hung up and he did not call again. I
think everyone should do what I did. We need not trust people,
who we don't know, who call us on the phone. For the dishonest
people who call us, they don't deserve for us to be nice to
them.

Subscriber Tip
Being caregiver to my elderly mother I haven't much time
for exercise classes or to go to a gym. So I have started a
simple exercise program each morning and night. Week 1 5 leg
raises , 5 sit-ups, 5 side-stretches. (5 days a week - enjoy the
weekends!). Week 2 10 leg raises, 10 sit-ups, 10 side-stretches
add 5 forward lunges. Increasing and adding each week as I feel
comfortable. Even if I get busy or tired some days I continue on
the next day. Baby steps are still steps.

These Tips provided by The Frugal Shopper
Please show your appreciation for these great tips by visiting
this site.
~~Use a powder puff to dust flour on rolling pins, pastry
boards and cookie sheets. Store puff in a margarine tub with a
small amount of flour for quick dusting jobs.
~~Leftover Safety - If food has been contaminated with germs
from a person's mouth, it should be tossed. For instance saving
baby food when you have fed the baby from the jar is hazardous.
~~You can reheat small portions of leftovers in the same pan.
Wrap individually in foil and place in enough water to cover the
bottom of the pan.
~~When converting your favorite recipe for microwave cooking
reduce the liquid by one-fourth. Liquid does not evaporate in a
microwave as much as it does in a conventional oven.
