    Home-Made Baby Wipes

Having twins at home, I found baby wipes to be very expensive. In talking to friends, I found home-made wipes were great. 1 roll paper towel, cut in half so that it is still round1 plastic container that will hold 1/2 roll of paper towel2 cups water2 tbsp. baby lotion2 tbsp. baby oil2 tbsp. baby wash.Place lotion, oil, and wash (amounts do not have to be perfect, mix and match quantities to your prefernce. I use a little less lotion in mine) into plastic container and mix. Pour in approximately 2 cups of boiling water (some paper towel takes more water, some less.) Place paper towel, cut side down into container and place lid on container. Wait until the towels are cool to use. They can be scented any way you want, depending on the lotion, oil and wash. They also work great for a quick wash of the babies. One reminder, don't leave the lid off of the container or they will dry out.

    Get A Mammogram!

October is Breast Cancer awareness month. During that time Ladies can schedule their mammography exam for a reduced rate. Starting at age 40 is the recommended age unless there is a history of breast cancer in the family. Talk to your doctor to see what's right for you. Also you may call the Susan G Kolman number for a free exam if you qualify. It takes a couple of months as I recall to get qualified and scheduled. Mammograms compress the breast tissue and usually take 4 pictures, 2 of each side. People with implants need 8. The compression used is to spread out the tissue to better detect anything. Younger people usually have more dense breasts. This is more difficult for the Radiologist to see things that might appear in the pictures. This is also why some people are more uncomfortable with the exam. Digital mammograpy exams don't take long.Just be sure not to wear deodorant as the particles may show up on the pictures causing you to return for more pictures and worry needlessly. Remember to take care of yourself for those you love. Do your breast health exam yourself each time you shower or bath. While the majority of women get breast cancer there are men that get breast cancer too. Caught early the survival rates are so much better. Schedule your exam today, or remind your loved ones to. You could save their lives.

    Homemade Breakfast Sandwiches

My husband and I love breakfast sandwiches from fast food restaurants and the frozen food section of the grocery store. I found a way to make them for a lot less money and they are healthier too! Whisk 12 eggs, a little bit of milk, and whatever seasonings you like. Spray a 13x9 baking dish with cooking spray. Pour the egg mixture into the baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes in a 350-degree oven. Cut into 12 squares. Put the egg squares on toasted English muffins, bagels, biscuits, etc. I also get pre-cooked sausage patties from our warehouse club that fit perfectly on English muffins. Add cheese if you like and you have a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner! I usually make 12 at a time and freeze some of them so they are ready to go.

A VA Loan can keep High Interest Rates Away

In today's housing market there are a record number of foreclosures throughout every state. Don't be a part of the growing number of Americans staring foreclosure in the face and obtain a loan insured by the federal government.

The VA offers many great benefits to those that have served our country and are looking to purchase their first home. A http://www.vamortgagecenter.com VA loan is a great opportunity for veterans who are first time home purchasers with little credit to poor credit to obtain a competitive interest rate. Health and Beauty Tips

    26. To stretch your shampoo pour half of bottle into empty bottle, and add water to fill both. You have twice as much now, and it will work just the same.

    27. Free fingernail brush - When washing your hair, before you rinse off the shampoo run your fingernails through your hair a few times. Then rinse.

    28. Bee Stings - Remove stinger if there is any and dampen area and put Meat Tenderizer on area. Just leave awhile.

    29. Facial Moisturizer - Petroleum jelly makes a great moisturizer. Wash your face and while it is still wet apply a tiny amount of jelly. Continue rubbing in a circular motion adding very warm water until jelly is spread evenly. Your skin will be soft and non-greasy even in the winter.

    30. Removing makeup - Use a damp washcloth rather than cotton balls to remove makeup. It works great and also saves natural resources.

    31. Melted Lipstick - Don't throw away that expensive lipstick after leaving it in the car. Just place it in the freezer and it will be like new. Transfer to another container, if necessary.

    32. Extend the Usage of Your Stick Deodorant - When you can no longer use the sticks because the deodorant is below the plastic line, set the container aside. When you have several near-empty containers, microwave them for about 10 seconds until the remaining deodorant liquifies. Pour the liquid deoderant into a plastic container and let harden.

    33. Two-minute tummy tuck: Seated or standing anywhere, inhale allowing the abdominal muscles to relax gently outward. Think of your tummy as a balloon. Exhale, contracting the abdominal tightly inward as if you were trying to get every single bit or air out of the balloon. Hold a minute and inhale to repeat.

    MyFico.com

Most of us already know that MyFico is the company that 90% of the largest banks use to determine a person's credit worthiness for a loan by developing a credit score based on credit history.

But did you know that they have one of the most informative web sites on the internet? For example you can find out how long information remains on your credit report. Below is the answer to that question:

How long will negative information remain on my credit report?

It depends on the type of negative information. Here's the basic breakdown of how long different types of negative information will remain on your credit report:
    • Late payments: 7 years
    • Bankruptcies: 7 years for completed Chapter 13 bankruptcies and 10 years for Chapter 7 bankruptcies.
    • Foreclosures: 7 years
    • Collections: Generally, about 7 years, depending on the age of the debt being collected.
    • Public Record: Generally 7 years, although unpaid tax liens can remain indefinitely.
    Keep in mind:
For all of these negative items, the older they are the less impact they are going to have on your FICO® score. For example, a collection that is 5 years old will hurt much less than a collection that is 5 months old.

or you could get the answer to the below question:

I'm trying to lower my credit card APRs. How should I go about doing that?

In fact you could get answers to dozens of questions by visiting their:

The bottom line is that if you want to know absolutely anything about your credit report or credit score MyFico.com is the only web site you need.

    Grandpa Terry's Email

    HI Terry

Now an update on my progress with the budgeting programs. I've been working my budget and taking baby steps. I told you about one of some of my savings using coupons. Well it turns out that I've saved about 37.00 using coupons and price matching for the month of April to which I put on my highest balance credit card. The Interest on that card is killing me. There were several super sales that I used the coupons for and stocked up on about 12 weeks worth of product. It seems that the sales in the stores run in about a 12 week cycle. So my budget will have extra for the next three months so that I will sock into the credit cards as well. I've also been able to contact several of my credit cards and asked for a reprieve of six months, lower payments and a lower interest rate. By doing this I have stopped some of the collectors calling. The other ones I can't do anything with because I am not the primary card holder even though the card has my name on it. Had to chuckle when I told the credit collectors what I had done. They didn't like that cause they don't get paid.

Input for couponing in Canada. Western Provinces will do price matching at the grocery stores. Ontario for price matching use WalMart, Zellers and Canadian Tire. Grocery stores will not take printer coupons but Wal-Mart, Zellers and Canadian Tire will. However if you do a price match at Canadian Tire you can not use a coupon with the special but you will receive 10% Canadian Tire money back. So Do the math and shop where you will make the best ROI. You can have coupons mailed to you through www.save.ca.

Hope all is well with you and God Bless
    Cassandra

    Living Room Decorating:
Budget Ideas for a Whole New Look
    by Alyssa Davis

Many people make the mistake of thinking the more they spend on living room decorating, the better their decorating project will turn out, but this could not be further from the truth. Some of the most inexpensive decorating ideas require the least amount of money, and the amount of money spent is not an indication of how different or how stylish the room will end up. It is not necessary to go far into debt to give a living room a new and improved look.

When decorating a living room, consider the following budget ideas to achieve a completely new and stylish look. You will be amazed by how little you will have to spend to completely transform the look of your living room. With a few easy changes and budget additions you can have a living room with a whole new look, and best of all you can do it all without hiring a professional.

Let Your Imagination Be Your Guide

If you are convinced you have no idea what you are doing when decorating or redecorating the living room, let your imagination and sense of creativity be your guide. It might take a little arranging and rearranging to end up with the look you want, but anyone can decorate a living room on a budget and make it look like a million bucks. Think outside of the box, and do not be afraid to try something new. If you like a particular look, give it a try! You are the best person for the job when decorating your living room, and you will know right away if a particular decorating scheme works or not.

    Budget Rearranging

Rearranging the living room may seem like an obvious way to give it a whole new look, but the way in which you rearrange the room can make a huge difference. Simply exchanging the position of a loveseat and a chair does not constitute an entirely new look. If your living room is large, consider moving the furniture out from the walls and toward the center of the room to create an ideal area for conversing. This will leave a walkway around the perimeter of the room instead of in the center, and it will make the living room feel cozier and more inviting.

On the other hand, if the living room is small, do not line the walls and block openings into other rooms with home furnishings. Think about the furnishings you might be able to do without, and downsize a little to make the living room look more adequate and open. Less is always more when doing any type of decorating, and a living room is no exception. Save your back as well as the furniture and flooring by creating a paper diagram. The pieces can be moved around on paper before moving living room furnishings.

    Add Color, Texture, and Patterns

Window treatments, pillows, and throws are all great decorating accessories to add pattern, texture, and additional color to a living room, and they are available in all price ranges and styles to meet every decorating budget. Take advantage of sales and discount coupons that will help you obtain the home accents you need while sticking to a decorating budget.

If you like to sew, consider trying your hand at making window treatments and pillows. Simple scarf valances really are very easy to make as are throw pillows. You might even consider making a soft and comfy throws out of colorful fleece. Decorate your living room with a wide range of textures to provide interest and appeal, and instead of trying to match colors, choose accent colors to highlight living room furnishings. The addition of throw pillows, decorative throws, and attractive window treatments really can give the living room a whole new look.

    Floral Arrangements

All living room styles can benefit from beautiful floral arrangements, and if you want budget arrangements consider growing your own fresh flowers and greenery. Flowers do not have to come from the florist to be worthy of displaying in the home, and what better way to add fragrance, texture, and three-dimensional design to the room than with floral arrangements? Select a large vase that matches the style of the room, and choose flowers that compliment the colors. A bouquet of beautiful flowers in an accent color will bring out those colors more than ever, and a well chosen budget bouquet will look anything but budget in style. Nature's decor is always classy, stylish, and rich in appearance.

Shop the Clearance Section for Budget Wall Décor

Those wanting to adhere to a decorating budget but prefer fine wall decor should browse the clearance section before deciding they cannot afford high-quality wrought iron wall hangings, candle wall sconces, wall wine racks, and other desirable works of wall art. Many times the prices have been deeply discounted, and it is worth shopping for bargains. Budget clearance priced wall decor is often worth considerably more, and with well chosen pieces you can give your living room a whole new look for far less than you ever thought possible.
