Subscriber Tip #1
If you have young children/grandchildren, have THEM cut out ALL
the Sunday supplement coupons. It's a good way for littles to
develop hand-eye coordination and to use scissors (get a pair or
two of the blunt-nosed kids' "Fiskars"). After all the coupons
are cut, you can go through them together and discuss whether or
not each coupon is a "good" one based on family likes and needs,
which can be donated (like the unneeded diaper coupons or pet
supplies), and which just aren't "good deals". You may lose a
few "good ones" to miscuts, but the learning experiences and
time spent together are worth those few cents.

With all the money you save on groceries using my coupon tips a
wonderful thing you can do to help others is to prepare and
deliver hot meals to individual families in need. Many churches
are already set up to do this for their members when they are
ill or have just had a baby. When we were living in Tennessee
after our third child was born I was a coordinator for just such
a group and I loved every minute of it. If your church or local
community group does not have a food ministry such as this you
can easily get one started!

Welcome to The Budget Stretcher!
I have something special for you this week. I just loaded 36 of
the best ebooks I've found on a wide variety of topics. Please
read these instructions carefully.
Please visit:
Check out the ebooks available. If you find one that interests
you go to the top of the page and click the link to set your

ebooks you want by using the "Add To Cart" buttons.
By the way, if you haven't already loaded "How To Make Your
Home Energy and Cost Efficient" yet, you can get it free at the
above page.
Important note: Do not order 3 or more unless you want to waste
your money. You would be better off subscribing to Budget
Stretcher Premium for only $19.95 for the first year, where you
can download all of these ebooks and much more free of charge.
I goofed up the recipe last week and had an extra paragraph
that didn't belong. I'm sure most of you realized that potatoes
and cheddar cheese aren't normal ingredients in Salsa!
Believe it or not, my wife and I just started our Christmas
shopping. Walmart had computer game systems on sale this week so
we ordered 2 for our youngest grandsons. Odds are they will
be out of date by the time Christmas rolls around!
I heard on the radio that many of the major department stores
are worried that their sales will be down this year because
consumers aren't planning to spend as much on Christmas as
they normally do. They will be starting their holiday specials
much earlier than normal. You may want to start checking the
sale bills for their specials.
That's all for now. Remember, I really enjoy hearing from you
folks. If you have any comments, complaints, suggestions or just
want to say Hi, please send me an email to

The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people
to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at
least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It
takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on
'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle).
This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors
/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram
in exchange for advertising.
Here's the web site! Please pass it along...

In you Oct 29/07 edition in the Subscriber tips was a tip about
Vick's vapo rub on the bottom of feet to stop coughs. If you go
to the Canadian National Research Council website:
nrc-cnrc.gc.ca and do a search for Vick's vapo rub you will see
that this suggestion is a hoax.

Hi Terry
A suggestion for Cheryl.
I was recently at the hairdresser having a cut and style and
the coverall she used to stop me getting hair all over me had
dye around the neck which unfortunately got all over the collar
of my white shirt.
She was so apologetic, but her solution was to grab the
hairspray and spray it till it was soaking and then let it dry,
spray it with stain remover and throw it in the normal wash. She
said so long as I washed it within 3 days it would come out and
it did.
You wouldn't even know there was ever any dye on the shirt.
Cheers
Kathie

Opportunity
Hi Grandpa Terry,
I love your website and wanted to help other people make money
to help eliminate debt. I wanted you to see a business
opportunity that I found that is absolutely free. It is about
shopping at your own shopping mall online and getting a check
once a month for a percentage of your purchases depending on the
store that you shop at. You refer other people to start their
own shopping mall and you also get a percentage of their money.
Thought this would be good especially during the holiday season.
There are thousands of stores to shop with. I signed up
September 9, 2007 and have already had 9 people to sign up for
their own shopping mall by advertising in a free local newspaper
online. This has not cost me one penny except for purchases I
have made for christmas. I am now waiting for my first check. A
real good friend of mine has already recieved two checks by
mail. Anyone can sign up for their own shopping mall at my free
Thanks, Deborah

For the lady who had problems with pet smells, cigarette smells,

gets rid of the smell in a day or two.

Hi Grandpa Terry, my name is Carrie.
I just subscribed last week & I'm enjoying all the info.
I want to thank for the way you have things set up because I'm
blind & I use a service called netbyphone to go on line.
It can't do it all but it gives me much more freedom than I've
had before.
I'm still learning, so please forgive all the mistakes I'm sure
I'm making.
I just wanted to thank you again for your simple design.
You wouldn't believe how often I try to find something & just
get mad because it's like going in a huge pointless circle.
Anyway thanks & I am looking forward to the next newsletter.

Hi, Terry. For the woman asking about how to get hair dye out
of clothes. I do not know how to get hair dye out of clothes
after they have been through the dryer, however, I would
recommend that you might want to wash all clothes that you wear
to work separate from other clothes to avoid getting dye on
everything else. In addition, I would buy some inexpensive
shirts and pants from a discount or thrift store. That way if a
shirt or pair of pants gets dye on them, it's no big deal
because you didn't pay a lot for them anyway.
I did a search on Google and found the following discussion

The Financial Intelligence Report: Great Housing Crash of 2008
I would like for you to check out this link and give us your
opinion on it please.
Barbara
My Response:
Hi Barbara,
I read the sales page for the site you referenced and it seems
like a legitimate offer and very professionally done. But
realize that it's written to sell their product and they put
heavy emphasis on the negative aspects of the economy.
Although I'm not an investment guru I have a little more faith
in the economy than the report indicates. Recent reports show
that even with the housing and credit problems the overall
economy is still very strong.
One of the main points I always look for is a money back
guarantee which this offer has. It may be worth trying to see if
it's something that would benefit you.
I hope this helps,
Terry

Subscriber Tip #3
Our city water has a terrible odor and taste. This is a
temporary problem according to city officials. I have been
purchasing bottled spring water at Wal-Mart. I then reuse the
bottles and fill them with spring water purchased by the gallon
for 64 cents. This helps the environment by not having so many
plastic individual bottles going in a land fill and is still
much cheaper than buying another case of individual bottles.

These Tips provided by The Frugal Shopper
Please show your appreciation for these great tips by visiting
this site.
~~To save on electric and water only run your dishwasher when
full. When adding dishes take a handful of baking soda and
sprinkle the dishes and bottom of dishwasher to absorb odors.
When you run the dishwasher there is no need to add detergent to
the first cycle receptacle only to the 2nd one that stays shut
until the second cycle starts. The baking soda will take the
place of the detergent in the first cycle.
~~When you have a spill in your oven, sprinkle some salt on it
right away. Then when the oven cools wipe it off.
~~Spray your Tupperware with nonstick cooking spray before
pouring in tomato-based sauces--no more stains.
~~Transfer your jelly to a small plastic squeeze bottle--no
more messy, sticky jars or knives. This also works well for
homemade salad dressing.
