Subscribers Tip of the Week
Greetings from South Australia.
I have a really great way to save on money AND the
health of my family. The way I go abput it is I
joined a shopping club and save 30-40% off all my
day-to-day items as well as keeping the toxins that
are harmful out of my house.
If you or anyone you know of are interested, I can
give you contact details for a friend of mine who
I partner with in the States.
All the best
Kerry

GRANDPA TERRY'S UPDATE
Welcome to this week's issue of our newsletter.
I have joined forces with a few other newsletter
editors to promote each other's newsletters. So
far the combined subscribers to these newsletters
total about 80,000 and are some of the best I've
seen. If you would like to check out the other
Money-Saving Newsletters please visit:
Maybe it's time to start your Christmas Shopping.
I told you about Generic Gifts a while back and
how great their products and prices were. I just
received permission to offer a 10% Discount on
their already low prices on every item they have.
Many of their gifts are less than $10 so if you
are trying to save money on Christmas this year
you will probably want to check them out. Here's
the link:

In the next few days I should be able to offer
you some more substantial savings on some excellent
money management software. I'm trying to use the
popularity of Budget Stretcher to bring you extra
savings any way I can.
I have been negotiating with two companies to offer
Budget Stretcher Newsletter subscribers discounts
on their products. There are still some details
that need to be worked out but I will let you know
when they are ready.
Kerry, the subscriber that submitted our Subscriber
Tip of the Week, also mentioned an Australian web
site that you may be interested in visiting. Here's
the link:
I was going over a few of my old newsletters and
found a couple of links in the August 2001 newsletter that
I would like for you to take a look at. It's
called "Remember Mama's Recipes".
I have newsletters going back to January 2001.
I've actually been publishing the newsletter
since January 2000 but I lost the first year
when my computer crashed.
There are still a lot of good links in the old
newsletters so if you would like to visit my
past newsletters just click on the link below:
That's all I have for this week. Please keep
those tips coming.
All the best,
Grandpa Terry

GRANDPA TERRY'S TIP OF THE WEEK
Danger Signs
Do any of these sound familiar?
~~Not knowing how much you owe
~~Not sure when your payments are due
~~Skipping some bills to pay others
~~Using credit cards to pay for necessities like
general living expenses- food, utilities, rent
~~Creditors calling you at home or at work
~~Using cash advances from one credit card to pay
off another
~~Making minimum payments on debts owed
~~Borrowing additional monies to cover basic living
expenses
~~Seems like no matter how much you pay your total
debt continues to rise
~~Borrowing money from family and friends to make
ends meet
The above danger signs are an excellent way for you
to determine if you are having money problems. They

Money Saving Tip - And Another!
ENERGY SAVING TIP
Hot water heating systems use a network of pipes
to distribute heat through your house. Insinuated
pipes waste energy. Wrapping pipes that are readily
accessible with insulation is easy to do and fairly
inexpensive. Pipe insulation made of fiberglass or
foam can be found in all building supply stores.
Use insulation with a wall thickness of 3/4 in for
fiberglass and 1/2 in for foam.

SPECIAL RECIPE
HOLIDAY COOKING
Roast Turkey
1 turkey, 20-22lbs
1 stick margarine or butter
Defrost frozen turkey for several days in the
refrigerator according to the directions on the
package. Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil.
Remove the insides of the turkey and save for
liver gravy or for fried livers and gizzards. Lay
turkey, breast side down, in the pan and place the
stick of butter on the inside. Cover tightly with
aluminum foil. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour.
Reduce heat to 175 degrees and roast for 20-22 hours
or more. Cooking time can be longer to fit your
schedule. This is the best turkey you will ever
eat. The meat will just fall of the bones so you
will have to serve it already carved. It will be
very juicy and moist.

tips by visiting this site.
SHOPPING TIPS
WHILE SHOPPING
~~Always check the expiration date on dairy products.
~~Avoid anything disposable.
~~Convenience foods are more expensive, you are trading
money for time. Slice, season, mix, and cook it yourself.
~~Always check the day old bread basket, and the reduced
merchandise cart.
~~Always ask for a rain check if an advertised special is
out of stock. While you are waiting for the product to
come back in, look for more coupons for that product.
