Subscribers Tip of the Week
I have 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a cockatiel in the house;
and we use Febreze in all our vehicles. So, my
family uses a lot of Febreze. The Dollar General
Refill size equivalent is $2, compared to the Febreze
Refill for $7.99 at Wal-Mart. I can get four bottles
at DG for the same price as Wally World; and it works
just as well. It's even cheaper than the mixes I've
found on the internet and no mess!

Grandpa Terry's Update
Welcome to this week's issue of our newsletter.
I would like to wish all of you a very Happy
Thanksgiving. I sincerely hope that you will
enjoy yours as much as I plan to enjoy mine.
I would also like to thank each one of you that voted
and sent your comments about my new web site.
Your input played a large part in the final
product.
I won't be loading the new site on the web for
a couple of days but I would like to give you a
sneak peek at the home page since so many of
you were directly involved in it's development.
You can see the site at:
I mention last week that a web developer was also
helping me with the site design. He is the one
that developed the new Budget Stretcher logo in
the upper left corner. Thanks again Joshua.
My special promotion of the ebook "How To Own
Your Paycheck Again!" has ended. Leo Quinn would like
to thank those that took advantage of this special
offer.
I had several inquiries over the weekend asking
if it was too late to buy the ebook at the special
price. I'm sorry to say that it is. I can tell
you that I will be bugging Leo constantly to run
the special again.
My daughter just sent me a cool web site that I
would like to pass along. Just looking at the
site will get you in the Christmas spirit. It's
called Mrs. Claus' Cookbook and has recipes for
all kinds of Christmas goodies. You can take a
I have a couple of new supporters of Budget Stretcher
I would like to tell you about.
First is a great Frugal Family site that has too
much stuff to mention. Patty Getz has agreed to
become one of the Budget Stretcher Partner Sites.
I would like to welcome her and I believe her
site has information that we could all use. Please
Next is a new advertiser. Paula Narva has been an
advertiser with Budget Stretcher before and offers
a great long distance service for 4.9 cents per
minute. That's not all. She also offers 800 numbers
at an unbelievable low price. Please take a look
at her site and see what she has to offer.
Barry, a subscriber, submitted a free site that offers
a download that will stop most of the popups you see
on the internet. If you are interested please visit:

Here is a caution about the tip on homemade Ice Packs
in last week's newsletter from a concerned subscriber.
I have a concern about one of the items in yesterday's
issue. It regards the homemade ice pack. While this
would be fine for older children and adults, I would
be worried to give such a mixture, even in frozen form,
to a child. Rubbing alcohol is irreversibly toxic to
the optic nerve. I do not know how much the child would
have to ingest to have problems, but if there is any
chance of the child licking/drinking the liquid as it
melts, I would not give them the icepack, but would use
a different form, either homemade and less flexible
(all water) or store-bought and flexible but more
expensive. What is a child's vision worth?
Sincerely,
Susan
That's all I have for this week. Please keep
those tips coming.
All the best,
Grandpa Terry

Can You Help Carla?
I received an email a few days ago from a lady that
obviously could use some help and suggestions.
I sent her one suggestion to help with her food
bill but I believe there is so much more that she
can do to make things easier.
I would like your help, Again! If you will read
her email and submit your ideas and suggestions,
I will put them on a web page, not only for her
but for everybody that could use a little extra
help. Just submit your suggestions to:
Here is her email:
16 years ago I was single and so was my husband to
be. We each had good credit. I'd grown up middle
class and lacked for nothing, so I didn't know how
to be poor. We got married 12/87, got an apartment
and both of us were working. Our total income was
$30K. We paid the bills, the rent and were paying
off the honeymoon and credit cards. We had medical
insurance through his job.
Then bang! We started starting a family.

Credit Card Information
Question - Will checking my credit report affect
my credit score/rating?
If you obtain a report directly from the reporting
firm, e.g. Equifax, Experian or Trans Union it will
not appear in the reports furnished to lenders.
However, if you obtain a report through a third
party it may generate an inquiry in your file.
A large number of inquires can affect your ability
to qualify for some loans or credit cards.

These Tips provided by The Frugal Shopper
Please show your appreciation for these great
tips by visiting this site.
~~Soap scraps - Mix with water to make soap
jelly. Put in sock, mesh, or used pantyhose
to use in bath or for scenting drawers.
~~Pantyhose - Use for ponytail holders, to
secure plants, or buffing your shoes.
~~Coffee filters - Use to clean and polish,
or as a replacement for cheesecloth, paper
towels, and napkins.
~~Glass jars & bottles - Use as a vase, for
canning, or melt and pour wax in for candles.
~~Plastic grocery bags - Donate to local
Salvation Army. They deliver meals on Wheels
to elderly and are a non profit organization
and need bags to put food in to deliver.
~~Plastic jugs - Cut out the side to make a
big scoop or garden shovel, cut off the top
and use as a funnel, fill with water and freeze
to use in coolers, or cut off top and use bottom
to store toilet brush.
