    Subscriber Tip #1

Being accident prone, I've been in an ambulance more than a few
times. One thing that I've learned about the ICE numbers on your
phone is that the paramedics need SOME clue as to who their
calling. After speaking with one of them for quite some time, I
came up with this system and programmed all of my loved ones
    phones this way:

ICE DH/DW/DM/DD (husband or wife or mom or dad's first name)
ICE DH/DW/DM/DD Work (husband or wife or mom or dad's name and
indication that its their work number) ICE Home (so they know
they're calling your home number and may get more than one
    person there)

So far I've had one paramedic use it after my nephew nearly
broke his head open - and they expressed thanks that they knew
    EXACTLY who they were calling.

    Coupon Savings
    by Michelle Jones

Have you ever found a coupon just lying on top of a product you
were about to pick up at the grocery store? It's happened to me
several times over the years and I have always had very warm
thoughts for the shoppers who were so thoughtful. Why not spread
some extra holiday cheer this week? Take a stack of coupons that
you cannot use and place them on the individual items throughout
the store as you shop. Within hours this small act of kindness
could really brighten someone's day. Wishing all of you a very
    Blessed Christmas and New Years!!!

If you would like to learn how to save more money with coupons,
including how to use them WISELY, how NOT to use them, and how
to FINALLY get them organized so you CAN use them, order your
    copy today!

    Grandpa Terry's Update

    Welcome to The Budget Stretcher!

you how important this is to your family in case something
happens to you.  Please take a minute to check it out at:

We are knee deep into the holiday shopping season.  What you do
now is possibly going to affect you for months to come.  If you
decide to use your credit cards and can't pay them off each
month, your Christmas bills are going to be much higher than
what you spent due to paying interest.

Think about it.  That $50 game that you only paid $25 for could
end up costing you $200 over time if you let the balance ride on
your credit card.  That's not a bargain...

Naturally, the best way to pay for Christmas presents is to use
cash if you can.  That way it's paid for and if you manage to
get a bargain, it really is a bargain.

But, if you have to use credit cards and carry a balance, go
easy.  Think about what it's going to cost you in the future.

I just put together another savings tips ebook that I'm offering
free.  It has ways to save in almost every category of your
personal finances.  You can download it at:

"89 Little Known Secrets To Saving Money In Today's Economy!"

Grandpa Terry's Tip of the Week

I'm going to turn this week's tip over to a friend of mine:

    Step One To Smart Finances
    By Doris Dobkins

What are your financial goals? Quick, everyone reading this
should be able to state them clearly and precisely within the
next 60 seconds. If you can't do that then you've missed the
    whole boat.

So do you want to be rich? How do you define rich? Do you want
a secure retirement? What amount of money equals "secure"? Do
you want to enjoy your money now and deal with the future when
it gets here or do you want to spend some time now, planning for
    the future?

Before you can even think about investing, budgeting or
personal finance, you must determine your personal financial
goals. Why? Because a goal sets the tone for your financial
direction and gives you a foundation from which to base your
    financial decisions.

If your goal is to have NO DEBT (which I define as true
"financial freedom") then your plan would focus on paying off
your mortgage and all other debts even at the expense of saving
    for retirement.

If your goal is to be wealthy and have a lot of money at
retirement, then you'll probably want to focus on getting rid of
unsecured debt, maximizing your retirement contributions and
possibly leveraging your assets to increase your net worth.

Where are your values? What are you doing with what you make?
What should you be doing now to get where you want to be?

There's no reason to delay starting any longer. If you only
have $10 extra a month, that's a start. Whether you invest it or
use it towards paying off a bill, that's up to you. There's no
rights or wrongs as long as you have a plan and are following
    it.

    Subscriber Tip #3

Many folks use clothes pins to reseal plastic bags of chips
etc. This is fine for the cupboard but does not work well to
reseal bags in the freezer. I discovered my stapler in a kitchen
drawer and used it to close the french fry bag. It worked like a
charm and was easy to reopen next time too. I hope this helps
    some of you.
