There you will find 12 tasks for you to start working on that are crutial to gaining control of your money, getting organized, learning easy ways to cut expenses, setting up a debt repayment plan and ordering your free credit reports and credit score. These tasks are ongoing and you work on them at your own pace.
The real benefit of being a member is when something happens or you have an important question you need answered. Let's run a couple of scenarios you may encounter and compare what you would do as a non-member to being a BSP member:

#1. You are currently able to pay your bills, buy groceries and pay your other expenses but things are tight. You have no extra money to start a savings account or emergency fund and depend on credit cards to make the purchases you don't have the cash to make.
As A Non-Member - You go to Google and enter phrases like "Starting an Emergency Fund". Google kicks out several million web sites that fit these key words with the most important being listed first. You click on the top site. On that site they simply tell you how depositing $100 into a high interest saving account every month will build your emergency fund very quickly. The problem is you don't have $100 a month or even $10 to spare so you go back to Google and click on the next site.
As A BSP Member - You simply log into your member's web site. There you are shown first how to organize your finances and cut your expenses in order to find the money to start your emergency fund. The average family can cut their monthly expenses by 10% to 20%. You will also be instructed on how an emergency fund can prevent the use of credit cards and shown how much you could save.
#2. You are three months behind on your mortgage payments and receive a letter from your mortgage company demanding payment and threatening foreclosure action if payment is not received. You contact the mortgage company and explain that you simply don't have the money and ask if arrangements can be made to prevent you from losing your home. Their response is that you owe the money and nothing can be done.
As A Non-Member - You talk to family and friends to see if they have any ideas that may help you save your home. You call some other banks to see if they would be willing to refinance your home but your credit score is not good enough to qualify for a loan. Now you are back to surfing the internet for possible solutions. Hours and days are wasted and you still don't have a solution.
As A BSP Member - You log in to your member's area and click on the "Credit and Debt" button on the right of each page of your site. You scroll down to find the "Foreclosure Information" link and click on that. There you find all the information you need to understand how the foreclosure process works and step by step instructions to help you avoid losing your home.

The Budget Stretcher Premium is very easy to navigate, and there are no annoying commercial ads or pop-ups anywhere to be seen! (I do wish the newsletter font was a big larger , though...or we had that option to enlarge it as we read, as some sites do.)
