Let My Readers Tell You How My Ebook Has Helped Them.

  • "I wished I had this information earlier..."

I began reading your e-book the minute I downloaded it. The whole time I was reading, I kept telling myself how I wished I had this information earlier...many financial disasters earlier! I have never been financial savvy; however, your e-book presents advice in such a simple, effective manner that even I can understand it easily. I have incorporated many aspects of the e-book already and see room for great improvement in our financial future. Also, your bill-paying method you outline in your e-book is proving to be a huge time-saver for me. Everything is organized in a three-ring binder and I know what bills are due at a quick glance. I'm sure this method alone will save me a lot of late-payment fees. Also, your forms are very straight-forward and are helping me get a handle on what we truly owe rather than a "guess"timate.

In your e-book, you stress the importance of teaching children about money issues early. We are currently giving our son a small allowance and he puts 10% in a jar for tithes, 10% in a jar for savings and the remainder in a jar for himself. I want our son to have a firm understanding not only of the importance of saving but of limiting debt as well. You expressed the importance so well. Now, with your help, I am on the right track to be a good example for our son in this area.

Terry, your e-book is full of financial insight. You have presented the information in such an easy, informal manner. Finances can be a very frightening and intimidating subject to approach but you have made the journey into the black abyss a lot less frightening. Thank you for shining the light on this journey and helping me take the responsible steps to get our finances in order. I truly appreciate your honesty and insight.

  • "Cutting expenses was my favorite part"

I enjoyed this book very much. Getting organized is very important. Its like a reality check that shows you how far in debt you truly are. Some people have no idea until they write it down. Well I've been in debt and now debt free Trust me debt free is so much better. And with this book and the easy charts to get a person thru the maze of budgeting and bill paying You made a difficult task simple. Anyone can follow this plan. I'm impressed I really am. Stressing how important a bill organizer is was a perfect suggestion. Just misplacing a bill or forgetting a due date can lead to late fees and added stress. Its again about being organized and having a true desire to be debt free. Cutting expenses was my favorite part. I was the Queen of mindless spending back then I was always asking myself where did my money go?? I had no idea! You mentioned fixing little repairs around the house yourself to save a few dollars. Its amazing what you can do when you try. Smart ideas to save also included faucet aerators and turning the furnace pilot off in the summer Little changes make big differences in the long run. You had suggestions for everyone from haircuts to dining out to grocery shopping once a week.I liked the subscriber hints and the websites for more ideas. A book well written and very easily understood Great Job! Thank you!!

  • "...gives me a smooth road to travel versus the bumpy, pothole-ridden road I was traveling down"

I believe this is very well written and easy to understand. I am in the process of putting these principles to work with my own finances and understand that miracles do not happen overnight, but at least this gives me a smooth road to travel versus the bumpy, pothole-ridden road I was traveling down. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with others.

There is so much specialized financial information in this one book (household, savings, credit cards and so much more). This book would be great for someone who is just starting to try to get their finances under control or someone who is totally out of control. There are a number of items I'm going to be trying in the coming months. Thanks.

  • "I especially appreciated that it covered such a wide-range of financial topics and also provided links to helpful tools"

Your book is a well-written, in-depth, step-by-step course in helping someone get their finances under control. Anyone is capable of following your easy instructions and seeing light at the end of what can seem like an endless black tunnel of debt and financial hopelessness. • "This book made it so easy to sit down and organize everything"

For the last year I have truly been struggling with getting myself to stick to a budget and "live within my means" This book made it so easy to sit down and organize everything. The forms and budget workbook are great and the suggestions with the credit card snowball are helping me stick to a budget and emliminate all of my debt. • "...the information in this book could have saved me a ton of money"

Grandpa Terry, I think the price for this book is definitly a steal; the information in this book could have saved me a ton of money if I would have had this book say 6 months ago. I had no choice but to file Bankruptcy due to not following the rules in this book, and not being responsible with credit cards.

Since reading your e-book, I have put together our budget utilizing the forms in this book and I now have a savings plan established. I also did not realize that the target amount for your savings is 10 percent of your total pay. My wife and I had started to put away 50 dollars a week from my check and use the rest for bills and her check for bills also, at this time we have 270 dollars in the bank and building.

I think any family or individual that is suffering from financial hardship should make the small investment in this handy guide packed full of information and links to find the information that they need to help them solve or at least learn how to deal with bill collectors or at least learn thier rights and what they can and can not do.

I want to thank you for the opportunity to allow my comments on your book, and I hope this helps all who need the guidance of an expert opinion on financial matters and take heed to this book which I wish I would have had to fall back on.

  • "Armed with this, something as scary as a budget has become attainable and easy to work out..."

This ebook was a real eyeopener for me, makes you really look at your spending and budgeting, and although I hate dealing with it all, Terrys book has made it alot easier!! The forms are easily understandable and easy to work with. The "inside" information on credit and finances was a huge step to helping me in the right direction. Armed with this, something as scary as a budget has become attainable and easy to work out....its not quite the monster I had thought it would be! The cost of the book is worth the help, you could easily spend hundreds on fancy programs or accountants to do this, but with the simple forms provided and instructions on how to use it, theres no need to. Highly recommended!!!

  • "My initial goal was to get through just one month without any late fees or bounced checks. I did that in the first month and have maintained it"

The concept of accepting responsibility for my income is very difficult for me. Why? Who knows. Intellectually, I know I’m responsible, but it’s just so unpleasant. Or it has been in the past. Nothing motivates like success. With this initial motivation, I know I’ll keep making progress in “Living Within My Means”. My initial goal was to get through just one month without any late fees or bounced checks. I did that in the first month and have maintained it. Now my goal is to rent a Winnebago and take a trip around the U.S. Thank you, Terry.

  • "...the way outlined in the book is indeed the easy way"

I thought I knew quite a bit about the subject, and was surprised at how much I did learn. The title is right, the way outlined in the book is indeed the easy way. I started using what I learned in the book immediately and plan to make it habit.

  • "I can look at a glance and see what bills are due to be paid this week and what upcoming bills I need to plan for"

Grandpa Terry, Your book has become a valuable tool for finally getting control over my family's finances. I had never bothered with a budget thinking I did not need one and that it would be too restrictive. However, when I really sat down to crunch the numbers and take a hard look at where my money was truly going, I realized that a budget just might get me where I wanted to be-debt free. This might not be a good idea, but I am going to redo the budget sheet at the end of the next few months to compare how we are doing as to meeting our percentages, tracking our savings, and also tracking my household spending, which is where I found that 69percent of our money was going. I did not read this in your ebook and thing it might help keep me on track. What do you think?

I took several days to set up my binder and gather my bills into one place instead of in little piles here and there. Now, I just reach for my binder and have evertything I need at my fingertips. I can look at a glance and see what bills are due to be paid this week and what upcoming bills I need to plan for. For me, one of the most important parts of your system has been setting up my monthly paydays and deciding which bills to pay at what time of the month. Before, I just haphazardly paid whatever bill was the most and ususally ended up with late bills and late fees. I never had a plan as to when to pay my bills and now I feel much more comfortable and in control of my family's finances.

Another thing I like is your idea of snowballing. I had read this idea several months ago on your website and began putting that idea in place. My husband was unconvinced when he only began seeing the balance of one bill becoming significantly lower instead of all of them. But I kept at it and now I am proud to say that I have paid off two department store credit cards and am due to pay off another bill in just two more months! All by snowballing...amazing!

Finally, your plan has helped me to begin setting up a savings plan for my family. I never thought I needed to set aside savings first. Before this I always tried to save out of what was left over....which was usually nothing. That made it extremely hard on us whenever something unexpected happened because there was never enough money and something else went unpaid in order to make the repair needed. Now, we are beginning to see the benefit of paying ourselves first and we still have enough money to pay the bills on time! Thanks so much!

I hope to be in contact with you again in several months to let you know our progress.

  • "Grandpa Teaches what Mom and Dad never did":

Terry Rigg's "Living Within Your Means - The Easy Way" taught me that it wasn't how much I made that was important as much as what I was doing with it. I had no real way of organizing my bills until I started using Terry's system. I had to pay late fees and received dunning notices. I was financially unconcious.

With Terry's simple method or organization my bills are now paid on time and I am beginning to see the light at the end of a long tunnel of debt. I am conciously making choices for my family's financial future.

Money was something that was rarely dicussed in my family growing up. It ramained a mystery for most of my adult life until I read Terry's book. Thank you Terry!

  • "Living Within Your Means The Easy Way is an incredible book. It is easy reading and very easy to understand and implement"

First I would like to thank you for the opportunity to review your ebook. My husband and I have been searching for quite a while for an easy way to budget and keep track of our expenses. It seems that everything we looked at was either difficult to understand or took too much time to implement. We are both working parents of teenagers and don't have a lot of time to spend on this even though it such an important aspect of life. Living Within Your Means The Easy Way is an incredible book. It is easy reading and very easy to understand and implement. We can finally organize our bills and set up a budget. I love the forms that you included. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to make up my own and it just never looked right. These are easy to understand and use. Your book is a Godsend! We can finally start paying off bills and get around to really planning for that house we want to build. Now we know where we stand financially and there is no more guessing or unpleasant surprises! Thank you so much!! I would recommend this ebook to anyone! It is the best thing we have ever found, and believe me, we have looked at a lot of books and software. Again thank you not only for an easy way to budget and keep track of our bills but also for all the wonderful financial advice that is included in this ebook. Your years of experience that you have shared in this book have been a prayer answered for us. Best of luck marketing your ebook and thanks so much again!

  • "We know exactly what are financial goals are and we are using the tools in your book to achieve our goals"

I found your ebook to be very useful. I have been trying to get a handle on our finances for years. My husband prefers to leave all the financial matters to me but was unwilling to stick to any budget I would design. I admit it tended to be complicated or just too strict. By using your forms and the information you have provided in the book, I was able to show my husband exactly what we were spending and how far over the optimal percentages we were in several categories, especially when it came to credit cards. Neither one of us really new how many credit cards we had accumulated. We were shocked to see that we were paying payments to eight different credit cards. We are now paying those cards off with the debt elimination that was in your book. We know exactly what are financial goals are and we are using the tools in your book to achieve our goals. I especially found the information on paying down your mortgage useful. I never realized that such small amounts put toward the principal could make such difference on when my house will be paid off and how much interest we will save by using this technique. Your book has opened my eyes to how much can be accomplished with small changes or small amounts of money used correctly.

    Thank you, Donna Wolfe, Wisconsin

  • "The sections that really stood out for me are as follows:"

Ch 2 - Organizing Your Bills: This helped me become more organized and because I knew where everything was, everything was paid no time with no late fees!

Ch 3 - Dev a Budget: The budget worksheet was invaluable. Although it took me a little time to set up, it showed me in black and white that we weren't saving nearly enough. It's one thing to see the bills separately as they come in, but much more helpful to keep track of everything on the spreadsheet.

The savings tips in Ch. 4 had some I hadn't thought of. There are many highlighted items in this chapter! Helpful links at end of chapter too.

Ch 7 - Dev Eliminator: The tips were easy to follow and allowed me to pay off my first credit card in less than a month! Again, laying everything out, showed us which cards had the highest interest. Also, the payment protection had seemed like a smart idea until I read this chapter.

Ch. 14 - Payroll Deductions - haven't finished going thru this section yet but there seem to be some very useful recommendations in there.

All in all, it is a great book. I followed the plan for just about a month--kind of skeptically--I might add and actually had money left over at the end of the month. Not sure where the money was previously because our pay didn't change. Just following the tips in that short a time allowed us to pay off one credit card painlessly AND have money left over! Thanks again!!
